Meet Nathan!Nathan Locke
Teaches: Electric/Acoustic guitar, Ukulele & bass. I have always been obsessed with music for as long as I can remember, music as an art form can be an incredible form of self-expression and emotional release. I started to play the guitar when I was sixteen and very quickly wanted to understand as much intricacies, techniques and styles as I possibly could.
Studying a degree in Professional contemporary Guitar playing in London and then later on in Manchester really helped me to develop my own musical voice and gave me the opportunity to learn as much as I could about music. I have played in bands all over the country and this gave me the opportunity to work with fantastic people who have a like-mind and passion for the field in which I love. |
I have spent a lot of time playing and honing my craft. I decided that I wanted to share my energy for music and hopefully inspire people to pick up an instrument. I have taught music now for the past 3 years and I still get excited when I am approached by someone who has a desire to learn. Music not only helps to develop motor skills but it is proven that it can help with communication skills and I always try to push my pupils to express themselves within this field. I teach people from all ages and I am always willing and happy to help them achieve their goals.
My lessons are tailored to individual needs. Whether this is for people who just want to learn a few chords and songs, or for people who wish to further their understanding of music theory and to look at how their favourite songs are arranged/composed. Lessons are also available for pupils who wish to take their grades and receive certificates highlighting their accomplishments. I teach grades using the RGT examination board on the Acoustic/Electric guitar, Bass and Ukulele.
